The Alaskan Inn - January 29, 2011

Saturday - January 29th
Last night, Roger and I went on an overnight date to the Alaskan Inn.  I got a deal on KSL Deals a few months ago.  We wanted to use it for our Anniversary, but we weren't able to work it out, so last night was kind of a late Anniversary gift for both of us.  It was really nice.  Here are the pictures of our room.

Pictures of My Little Ones and Alissa's School Program - January 19, 2011

Wednesday - January 19th
Today, Alissa had her school program.  She wanted to have her hair pretty and curly again.  So, we woke up and curled her hair again.  Brinley decided she wanted curly hair too.  After the program, I had the kids pose for pictures since they all looked so cute tonight.  Alissa's program went really well.  she did a good job.
You may notice that Brinley has some warts on her chin in some of the pictures and in others, there are no warts.  I removed them in some of the pictures, but I was lazy and didn't take them off on all.  I really hope that the warts on her chin are just like the warts Parker and Alissa had on their hands.  They both had warts on their hands for one year when they were 5, then the warts went away.  We tortured Alissa, by taking her to get them burned off.  It didn't work and it was painful  she didn't want to go back and do it again.  She decided that she would rather live with the warts on her hand.  So, we didn't take her back and they went away on their own.  When Parker got his, I remembered how Alissa had them for a year then they went away, so we ignored his and hoped they would go away, and they did.  Poor Brinley, ended up getting the warts on her chin.  I really hope they go away.  If they aren't gone after a years time of having them, we'll look into getting them removed.

Alissa's Curly Hair - January 10, 2011

Monday - January 10th
Alissa wanted to wear her hair curly to school today.  I knew it would take a long time, so we woke up extra early and finished just in time.  She didn't want to pose for the camera, but I had to take some pictures, since we spent so long working on it. So, here are the few pictures we took before she hurried out the door to school.  She looks really cute.

Homemade Beds - January 9, 2011

Sunday - January 9th
The kids decided to make beds out of some of the containers that the toys had been in.  They wanted to sleep in them all night.  They started out in them, but they weren't comfortable enough for sleeping in them all night.  They decided their beds were best used for tv watching.

Sledding - January 6, 2011

Thursday - January 6th
We babysat Damien, Conner, and Sayge today.  It was a cold day out, but we got tired of playing inside, so we bundled up and went outside to try and sled on some of the hills outside.  The snow was really hard and crusted over.  At one point while we were out sledding, the kids climbed on the snow to make snow angels.  They didn't sink in the snow at all.  It was kind of crazy that they all stayed up on it.
I was nervous with the kids trying to sled on the hill next to the road.  I was afraid that they would accidentally go down the hill backward and go out into the road.  It was almost time for Sayge's mom to come, so we decided to play in the yard for a little longer, then head to the school to play after Sayge left.
There were a lot more hills for the kids to sled down.  I was using my phone to take pictures and videos.  It didn't do a wonderful job, but at least we have something to remember the fun we had.  It was hard for the camera to focus as it was getting darker.

Happy New Year! - January 1, 2011

Saturday - January 1st
We rang in the new year at Roger's mom's house.  The kids love going to spend time with Grandma Moser.  We had yummy treats and some sparkling cider.
We brought RockBand with us.  It was so fun playing it with everybody.
Brinley took a little nap around 6:00pm, so she would be able to stay up late.
Here are the first pictures we took in the new year.
Roger posed like a drunkard for the first pictures taken of him in 2011.  He's a funny guy.
Missy, Becca, and Jonny came to ring in the new year with us also.  It was lots of fun.  Alissa and Brinley were able to stay up until midnight, but our little Parker kept with his tradition of falling asleep before it was time.  He has such a hard time staying awake.  He tries, but he just gets too tired and loses the fight to stay awake.
We did some driving around and exploring in Tooele and we found this fun playground.  The kids were excited to get out and run around for a while.  Roger went over and joined them on the swings.  He showed them how to jump off the swings.  Alissa tried it and did alright.  It was funny when roger was showing her because he was nervous.  It has been a long time since he's jumped off some swings and I could tell he hesitated a little when he tried it the first time.  Then he got his confidence back and jumped farther.
