Roger

On this page, I will be sharing stories from Roger's life.  I will post them as they come up.  We went on a trip to Montana and it was a really long drive.  On the drive Alissa kept asking Roger to tell us stories from his childhood.  I wrote them down and I will share them with you on this page.

Tyler Fell in a Grave
Roger had a funny memory of his brother, Tyler, that he shared with us.  He said that his brother came home really out of breath one day.  Roger asked him what was wrong.  Tyler had been working at the cemetery.  It was the end of his shift and it was dark outside.  He was supposed to turn the sprinklers off.  He was scared, but he went and turned off the sprinklers, then, because he was feeling so scared, he started to run as fast as he could out of the cemetery.  He was almost out of the cemetery when he fell into a half dug grave.  It was 3 feet deep.  He started screaming, got out, and raced out of the cemetery and all the way home.

Todd got cow poo in his Face
Another funny brother memory he shared with us was when they were with their cousins at Grandma Huffaker's house.  They were putting fire crackers in cow pies.  They'd light the fire cracker and run.  His brother, Todd, found an especially fresh and juicy cow pie.  He stuck the fire cracker in, lit it, and before he could even turn his face away to run, it blew up.  He got cow poop blown all over in his face.  Gross!

Roger Got Electrocuted
Another time at Grandma Huffaker's, Roger and his cousins were running from some animals that they had just made mad.  To get away they had to go over an electric fence.  His cousins made it over safely, but Roger wasn't so lucky.  As he was jumping over, he kept his hand on the fence a little too long.  All the sudden it sent a shock through his whole body.  He said, that it dropped him.  He was in mid air, flying over the fence, then he got shocked and just dropped straight down.  He was okay and his cousins were laughing so hard.  In the car while Roger was telling us this story, he had a cup full of sunflower seeds in his hand.  When he told us about the shock, he kind of acted it out a bit and spilled the sunflower seeds all over him.  It was pretty funny!
