Alissa - March 22, 2003

Saturday - March 22nd
Our little Alissa is 7 months old now.  She still doesn't like to be on her tummy.  She wants to just skip the crawling phase and go straight to walking.  She loves it when I hold her hands and help her walk.  She moves around a little bit on her back.  She'll lift up her bum a little and push herself with her legs.  She just absolutely refuses to be on her tummy.  I've even tried holding her up in the crawling position and that makes her scream.  She is very stubborn about that.  I just love my little one so much.  Everybody keeps warning me that it is important for her to be on her tummy and learn how to crawl.  They say that she won't be able to learn how to walk without learning those crawling skills.  So, I plan to keep trying to get her to crawl, but I don't quite understand how crawling will help her to walk.  It doesn't make a lot of sense to me how not crawling will make it so she can't walk.  Hopefully I can get her crawling, but if not, I really hope they are wrong.  Anyway, here are some pictures and a video of my cute little 'lissa.

Friday - March 14th

We are in St. George.  I got my hair done today.  I got 3 inches cut off, then some layers and highlights.  My cousin Tiffini did it for me.  We didn't have a high chair, so we had to get creative when it was time to feed Alissa.  She made a really big mess.  Here is the video I took of Alissa eating.

Friday - March 7th

Alissa is just too cute!  I think it is really funny when she is playing with the toy on her saucer and she sticks her tongue in it.  It looks funny and makes me laugh so I tried to get a video of her doing it.  Here is the video

I'm Sick - March 5, 2003

Wednesday - March 5, 2003

Alissa is sitting really well.  She is sitting by my feet and watching me write.  She is so cute!  She makes me so happy.

I'm not feeling well today.  My body has been so weird lately.  Yesterday I had a little pain in my right side and last night as I tried to sleep it got progressively worse.  It is making me feel very uncomfortable.  It is kind of a sharp pain and a pulling pain whenever I do anything.  I also have had a little headache all day.  I can't get it to go away.  I also have been getting the chills and I think that a fever may be coming on.  I'm going to call my mom and ask her what she thinks.  I will probably go to the doctor tomorrow.

Roger is at work tonight.  He had to work overtime.  Tomorrow the bishop wants to meet with Roger and I.  Neither of us has a calling yet and we're thinking that is what the meeting is about.

We are going to try and go to St. George on the 11th.  This will be our third time of trying to go.  The first time we tried, we woke up and I was really sick, so we had to cancel.  The second time, my mom was really sick.  We prayed and asked if we should go or not and after we prayed, my mom called to tell us that she didn't think we should come because the weather was bad.  I haven't been to see my parents in a while.  I really miss them.  I am determined to go this time.
