Christmas 2010

Saturday - December 25th
We had a really merry Christmas this year.  I love Christmas!  The kids needed some more Sunday clothes.  We were at the mall when we were in Salt Lake and we found some really nice and affordable dresses and a suit for Parker.  I couldn't pass up that good of a deal, so I let the kids pick out what they wanted and we took them home.  I told the kids they were a Christmas gift from Roger and I and they could have them on Christmas Eve.  They were so excited to have their nice clothes.  They wanted to try them on and wear them around the house for a little bit, so I let them.
I had wrapped them and they were under the tree.  I let the kids open them in the morning.  They couldn't wait.  They were too excited.  They look super cute in their nice Sunday clothes.

At school, Alissa got a bag of reindeer food to feed Santa's reindeer when they come.  It came with a message telling the kids to sprinkle it on the lawn on Christmas Eve.  They were excited to go out and sprinkle on the lawn.
After they put out the reindeer food, they came inside so we could open up our Christmas pajamas and then they each got to open a gift from each other.

After that, Roger told us the story of Jesus' birth and it was off to bed.
I had most of the gifts wrapped all ready, so putting the gifts under the tree took very little time this year.  Kids were asleep, gifts were wrapped and under the tree all by 10:15pm this year.  It was nice!  That meant Roger and I got to relax together for a little while.
The kiddos were up and ready to open presents bright and early, as always.  We made them be patient and give us some time to get moving, so the gift opening didn't start until 7:00am.  They had a lot of fun.  They loved all of their gifts and couldn't wait to start playing with all of their new toys.

The family favorite is our new Rockband game.  We have been having so much fun playing this game today.  We like Lego Rockband the most, because it is more kid friendly and will let you keep going even when you mess up a lot.

Moser Family Christmas Party - December 19, 2010

Sunday - December 19th
We had the Moser Family Christmas party at our house this year.  It was really fun to have everybody over and I feel like it went really well.  I was unsure how it was going to go.  I was so excited to get to have it at our house for the first time.  I was a little disappointing to realize that being house to host it, doesn't mean you get to be the one to plan it.  I thought it did, but Cindi and Joyce planned it all.  That's okay though.  It turned out really well and we had a lot of fun.  They planned some really nice things.  We did our usual gift exchange, someone read the Christmas Story to us all, Cindi and Caroline played a song on the piano, the kids wore costumes while they listened to the story of Jesus' birth, they gave the kids little musical instruments and we sang Christmas carols, and the grown ups did a funny white elephant gift exchange.  It was a lot of fun.  I took a lot of video of all the fun, but forgot to take pictures.  I have only one picture to remember the night.

The Bone Family Christmas Party - December 18, 2010

Saturday - December 18th
We went to Kari's house for the Bone Family Christmas party this year.  We usually take some time to celebrate Kristin and Kiara's birthdays also.  I have been getting horrible migraines lately.  I get them almost every time we go to Salt Lake.  It is miserable!  I ended up getting another horrible migraine tonight at the party.  It was bad.  I could hardly handle being at the party.  My head was throbbing so bad, that it made my sick to my stomach.  I thought for sure I was going to barf.  It was really miserable.  It just got worse and worse as the night went on.  we ended up leaving a little early.  I just couldn't handle it.  We stayed as long as I could.  I only took a few pictures and none of them turned out.  I took pictures of Kiara opening her birthday gifts.  My head was throbbing too bad by the time we got to the Christmas party gifts and activities.  I don't know why my headaches have been getting so bad lately.  It is miserable!  I really don't like it!  I hope they go away soon!

Going Through My Mom's Stuff - December 12, 2010

Sunday - December 12th
The kids and I went to St. George for the weekend to help my dad go through some of my mom's things.  This was my first time back to St. George since my mom passed away.  It was really weird walking into the house and not seeing her there.  It makes my heart hurt.  I miss her so much.
Going through her stuff ended up being a little funny, because she had little sandwich bags filled with M&Ms hidden in her Jacket pockets, drawers, and purses.  It was really funny all of the places we found M&Ms.  It helped to lighten the mood a little.
Hannah and my sister Missy came with us.  Hannah was really funny.  She just says whatever is on her mind and it is really funny sometimes.  Like when we first got to my dad's house, he had a crockpot full of soup that he had made for us.  We weren't expecting there to be food waiting for us when we got there.  It was a nice surprise.  We all dished up our food, Hannah takes a bite, then says, "That's not as bad as I thought it would be."  She was meaning to compliment my dad and tell him she liked it.  It was funny the way she said it.  we all had a good laugh.  Hannah is also really good at lightening the mood.
Hannah wanted to go over and see where she used to live, so we went over there and played on the playground for a little while.  It was getting dark, so the pictures didn't turn out very good.

Thanksgiving - November 25, 2010

Thursday - November 25th
This year we spent Thanksgiving with Roger's family.  We all went to Todd and Jeanne's new house.  Their house is gigantic!  They have an intercom system, so when it was time to eat, they could call for everybody to come into the kitchen.
While we were waiting for dinner to be ready, the kids were all upstairs playing with their cousins.  I went up there with my camcorder and camera to see what all the kids were doing.  Alissa, Brinley, and Parker were in a room at the end of the hall that was full of toys.  They had a lot of fun stuff to play with and the kids had a lot of fun with their cousins.

The older cousins were hanging out in Sierra's bedroom.  They were being really funny.  I took some funny videos of them showing me their goofy games they were playing.

Roger was waiting for me when I came down the stairs.

Dinner was yummy.  After all the yummy food, we took some time to celebrate Joyce's birthday.  Her birthday is on the 28th.

Snow! - November 21, 2010

Sunday - November 21st
I love snow!  We couldn't wait to be able to go out and play in it.  Brinley is always hesitant about going out in the snow, so she didn't come out right away, but she had fun when she did.  Alissa made a snowman and we had a snowball fight.

Before we got all ready to play, I dared Alissa and Parker to run out in the snow in their bare feet to bring in the newspaper.  They were more than happy to accept the challenge.  I love doing crazy stuff like that.
