Alissa wanted to work on her cake decorating skills.  So I made her a cake and some icing and let her have at it.  Hannah came over and wanted to decorate a little also.  I had made some ice cream cone cupcakes, so i let her try out her decorating skills on those.

Ice Skating - September 27, 2011

Tuesday - September 27, 2011

We went ice skating today.  We love going to the Logan ice skating rink.  We almost always have the place mostly to ourselves.  It makes it's a lot less scary for the kids to learn how to skate.  There was a little girl Brinley's age, so Brinley made a new friend and had somebody to skate with.

I needed to take a quick trip to the store today.  Brinley and Parker came with me.  I couldn't convince Brinley to change her clothes.  I warned her that she might feel silly walking around the store in this outfit, but she insisted that she wouldn't.  She is funny.  She loves to make people laugh.

Homeschooling - September 19, 2011

We got all of our stuff from Washington Online school.  I just thought I'd take a picture of our little set up and what a good day of homeschooling looks like for us.  The girls are loving homeschooling.  Brinley and Alissa are always asking if they can do more.  They are loving this.  It's a struggle to get Parker to do any of his work.  That's frustrating.  But I'm glad that at least the girls are loving this.

 When we finished our homeschooling today, I set up the bounce house for the kids to burn off their energy.

Big Rain Storm - September 17, 2011

We had a big rain storm today.  It was hailing also.  We love to watch storms.  Alissa took the video camera out and recorded some of the storm for us.  I will post the video as soon as I can figure out how.  On the video, Alissa tells us what is going on.  She says that she hopes it won't flood and talks about how scary the storm is.  It is really cute.  I love that she made this video.

Playing Dress-up - September 14, 2011

Hannah and Tanner were here again today and Erin came to play also.  So, the kids had lots of friends to play with and lots of fun.  They spent the majority of their time playing games all dressed up in costumes from our dress up box.  they were being so funny, I couldn't resist taking their pictures.

 Tanner decided not to dress up.  He was very entertained by Alissa's doll.  It makes sounds and the banana on the spoon disappears and reappears as you scoop it up and feed the baby.

We babysat Hannah and Tanner today.  The kids went in the front yard to play.  Alissa wanted me to take a picture of her buried in the sand.  The sand box where the flower garden belongs is fun for the kids, but it is getting dust all over in the house and that is not fun.

The Safety Fair - September 12, 2011

Monday - September 12, 2011

Today was the health and safety fair over at North Park elementary.  We felt a little weird heading over there since none of our kids are in school this year, but it was hard not to go, since it is right across the street and we can see all the fun going on.  It's really fun that a life flight helicopter comes and we couldn't resist going out and watching as it landed and took off.

Painting the House - September 10, 2011

This year, Joyce came up with an idea that we could use our family get togethers to help each other out.  If anybody had any big projects or needed help with yard work or whatever, we could all work on it as a family get together.  It was our turn today.  We have been needing to paint the house for a long time now.  Luckily there isn't a ton that needs to be painted.  The other thing we needed help with was yard work.  So, the VanBibber's, Grandma Moser, and Todd came to help us get some work done.  It was tiring.  When we were finished, Todd, Jonny, and Roger played basketball, while we sat and watched.

Parker and Brinley asked me to record them dancing to music from my phone.  They are so cute.  I love the way that Parker dances.  He likes to try and break dance.  I will post video of it as soon as I figure out how to do that.

Alissa learned to play 'Kiss The girl' on the guitar.  She got a crazy idea to try and play it with her feet.  She asked me to record her while she played.  She's funny.  She can only play the first line of the song with her feet.  I'll post the video as soon as I can.  Here's a picture of the foot guitar fun.
