Playing at North Park Park - March 31, 2011

Thursday - March 31st

I babysat Mikenna and Conner today.  We walked over to North Park Park to play for a little while.  People around here call the Park, "North Park Park" to clarify that they are talking about the park and not the school North Park.  I think it's funny.

We live walking distance to a lot of parks.  I think it's nice that we have so many choices when we want to play at a park.  We could walk to Jeanne Steven's Park, North Park Park, The Library Park, and of course, just across the street to the playground at North Park Elementary School.

It was such a nice day outside today.  It felt so nice to sit out in the warm sun and relax.  I brought a blanket and a book to relax and read.

Golden Spike National Park - March 30, 2011

Wednesday - March 30th

We wanted to go out exploring and see Golden Spike again.  Yesterday when we went the visitor center was closed, so we wanted to go again today when it was open.  Brinley was tired and really didn't want to go for the long drive to Golden spike again, so she and I stayed home.  Roger, Missy, Alissa, and Parker went with out us.  I told them to take lots of pictures.  They did.

Hiking - March 29, 2011

Tuesday - March 29th

We headed out to Golden Spike today.  We stopped to check out a small hike.  It was a long drive.  Brinley fell asleep on the way.  Missy sat in the back with the kids.  These are the pictures she took.

We brought water and sandwich baggies full of cereal.  The kids were hungry, so we stopped to snack on our cereal before the hike.  Roger started to throw his cereal in the air and catch it in his mouth.  The kids thought that was so cool, so they all started to try and do that also.  Eventually that led to each of us trying to throw and catch the cereal in each others mouths.  We had a lot of fun.  Missy took some pictures.

The hike we went on had these stopping points, where you call a number on your cell phone and listen to someone telling you about each place.  It was really interesting.

Missy wanted to practice her photography skills, so she asked if she could take some family pictures of us while we were out and about.

Missy suggested this pose.  I think this was a fun idea.  I like the pictures she took.  We need to take more pictures with all of us in them.

This whole trail is where they were working on building a railroad at some point in time.  At the end of this path, is where they were supposed to build a bridge, but they miscalculated and this path didn't line up with the path on the other side. 

Crystal Hot Springs - March 28, 2011

Monday - March 28th

My niece, Missy came to visit.  We love it when she comes to visit.  We always have a lot of fun.  Today we went to Crystal Hot Springs.  I'm not normally in the pictures, but Missy is here and she wanted to be the photographer.  It's nice to have some pictures with me in it.
