Spring Carnival - May 5, 2011

Thursday - May 5th

Today was the Spring Carnival at school.  Every year before this, they had a Fall Carnival.  I'm not sure why they changed it.  I'm thinking it has to do with the weather.  Last year it was so ridiculously cold that we had to change it at the last minute and have it in the school.  There was not enough room in the school to have the Fall Carnival.  It ended up being a horrible time for everybody.

Anyway, so this year it's the Spring Carnival.  After school, Parker wanted to play at the playground for a little while and watch as they set things up for the Spring Carnival.  He spent most of his time playing in this hole.

They had a lot of fun games for the kids to go around and try.  We had to wait in line forever to get a chance to do this one.  Everybody wanted donuts and the only way to get one was to play this game.  Watch Video

 Parker and Brinley weren't really interested in playing a lot of the games, but Alissa went through and played all of them.  This one was a race to get the rocks from one bottle down into the other bottle faster.  Alissa did really well on this one.  I'm pretty sure she was the first one to finish.  It didn't matter if you won though.  They gave prizes to everybody that played.

 This game was funny.  The tissue boxes on their backsides were filled with golf balls.  They had to shake their bums to get the balls out.  Alissa did alright, but eventually got frustrated and started reaching back and just throwing the balls out.  Parker tried, but he is not very good at shaking his booty.  I don't think he managed to get any of them out.  It was kind of funny to watch.  I love my little ones.  I think they are the cutest, best kids ever!
