Outdoor Ice Skating Rink - January 9, 2016

Saturday - January 9th
We heard that there was an outdoor ice skating rink in Logan, so Roger wanted to check it out.  We looked it up online and found out where it was.  This ice skating rink is nice, because you don't have to pay to get in like at the indoor rink.  You only have to pay if you have to rent skates.  So, it's free for Roger to skate.
The girls decided they didn't want to come with us, So just Parker, Roger, and I went.  Parker and I wanted to skate, but the line to rent skates was ridiculously long.  We would have been there all night just waiting for skates.  So, Parker and I decided to wander around and see what other stuff there was to do, while Roger skated.  Brinley doesn't like to ice skate, so we wanted to see what kind of stuff there was to entertain her when we all come back.
There is a nice playground that we stopped and played on for a little bit, but the thing that seemed to be the most fun, was the hill we found nearby for sledding.  Brinley would love to come here and sled while everybody else skates.  I'd sled with Brinley.  So, we think this place is a lot of fun.  We are glad we found it.  This is a good way that we can all come when Roger wants to go ice skating.

Roger had fun ice skating.  He ran into an old mission companion or it was just somebody he knew from the mission.  I can't remember for sure.  but they had a nice time visiting while they were skating.  When Roger finished skating, we went to a small restaurant on main street.  Parker and I shared some ice cream and Roger got himself some food.  Parker and I had already eaten dinner before we left, but roger hadn't.  The ice cream was yummy.  Parker and I liked it.  But Roger said his dinner was not very good.  He won't get dinner there again.  I like it for the ice cream.  At the front of the restaurant, you can sit up to a bar and get ice cream.  It has an old timey feel and the ice cream is good.  We'll do that again.  We just won't be seated and have an actual meal there.
