Playing with Daddy

The kids love to play and spend time with their Daddy. They are so blessed to have a Daddy that loves to play and spend time with them.

Parker's Birthday

It took me a month to finally post this, but here are some pics from Parker's Birthday. Parker is 4 years old now!

Alissa and Brinley were so excited to give Parker his presents.

Parker got his first big Tonka Trucks. He loves them!

Here is a video of Parker while we sing 'Happy Birthday' and he blows out the candles on his cake.

Riding the Train

The date is wrong on these pictures. I don't know why I didn't notice that the date was set wrong. Anyway....We went to a Utah Blaze football game on Saturday. We got free tickets through Parker's school. We rode the frontrunner from ogden. It was a lot of fun. The kids loved it. Brinley was a little nervous. She didn't want to get on the train when we first got there. She really liked it once it started moving. Parker was in awe. He was really excited about being on a train. He loves trains! It was so fun to see his facial expressions. He really loved the train.
Alissa loved it also. She said it was so fun and she really wants to go again. We met Roger's mom in Salt Lake and went out to eat at a sea food restaraunt in Gateway. Roger tried King Crab. He's been wanting to try that for a while. He liked it, but it is too pricey for our taste. In this picture Alissa is showing me something that she learned at school. She is so funny.
Roger and Brinley.
I don't remember what I was doing when he took this picture.
After we ate, we went to the football game. The kids were really tired so we ended up leaving at half time. We really enjoyed riding on the train. The kids liked that they didn't have to buckled in sealt belts. It made our trip to Salt Lake a lot more enjoyable.

answer to my question

My earliest memory is when I was 3 years old. I remember crying because I did not want to go in to my primary class. I wanted to stay in the nursery with my sister, Kristy. I remember feeling relieved and playing in the nursery with Kristy. I'm guessing that my parents gave in and let me go to the nursery a few times. I also remember the first time that I went to primary. I was crying because I really wanted to go with Kristy. My mom made me go to my class. I kept my hands over my face and kept crying. Some one showed me where to sit and they sat next to me and tried to cheer me up. I finally stopped crying, but I was still feeling nervous. I kept my hands over my face for most of the time I was there. I have always had a hard time dealing with change.

These are pictures and a video from our ice skating adventure last week.

We went to Salt Lake last week. Parker had an appointment at Primary Children's hospital. They did some test to see why he is not able to speak very well. Everything looked fine. They just told us that he needs a lot of speech therapy. I wish that we knew why he is having such a hard time. I'm very happy that there is nothing physically wrong. On the way home from Parker's appointment, we decided to go ice skating. This was Parker and Brinley's first time of ice skating. Alissa went for her first time in December, so this was her second time. We had a fun time. Alissa was so excited because she learned how to skate with out holding on to anything. Parker also went a few times with out holding on to anything. Brinley didn't like ice skating. She was shaking so bad. She kept saying, "Brin scared." So Roger and I took turns sitting on the side with Brinley and watching the others skate. Brinley was a lot happier watching everyone ice skate. Parker was so funny. He fell a lot. I only caught one of his falls on tape. The thing that made it so funny was that he would try to stop his fall and catch his balance by moving his feet. By doing that he made the fall last much longer. He would stop himself from falling backward and then he would over correct and start falling forward. It was so funny. I wish I would have caught one of those falls on tape.

My Own Computer - March 31, 2008

Monday - March 31st
I got a new computer!! It is so exciting!! This is my very own computer. I don't have to share with anybody. It is great!.................but...............there is one not great thing. My new computer has vista on it. I like the vista, but I don't like how nothing will work with the vista. My printer (which I bought not that long ago) won't work with the vista. My favorite scrapbooking program also will not work with the vista. I'm also having a hard time getting my Kodak program working. The Kodak program is really frustrating, because it works just fine on my husbands computer (he has vista), but for some reason I can't get it to work on mine. I really like to post pictures, but I won't be able to for a while, until I get everything straightened out.

Playing Santa - March 28, 2008

Friday - March 28th
Parker and Brinley were being so cute tonight.  I went upstairs to check on them and they were taking turns pretending to be Santa Claus.  They would sit down on "Santa's" lap, then "Santa" would say, "Ho. Ho. Ho. What do you want for Christmas?"  Then the one playing Santa would give the other an imaginary gift.  They would pretend to open the gift and tell each other what they got.  It was too cute!

Alissa has been coloring a lot lately.  She wanted a way to display all of her pictures, so we started hanging them on the wall in her bedroom.  She did a good job.

Super Heroes - March 25, 2008

Tuesday - March 25th
The kids had fun playing dress up today.  Parker wanted me to get a picture of him flying through the air, so I had him jump off the couch for a flying picture.  The girls wanted to try also.  So, I sat there and took pictures as the kids jumped off the couch.

Easter - March 23, 2008

Sunday - March 23rd
Happy Easter!  It was so fun to watch the kids find their Easter baskets and look through all the stuff they got.  They were so funny as they pulled everything out and talked about how excited they were about each item.

Later in the day, when the kids tired of eating candy and playing with their other little toys, they all sat around the card table and tried to put their puzzles together.

Playing at Roger's Elementary School - March 22, 2008

Saturday - March 22nd
Roger took us to play on the playground at the elementary school he used to go to.  He went to William Penn Elementary in Holladay, Utah.  The school does not look the same and the playground is different.  They knocked down the old school and built a new one.  The kids had a lot of fun playing on the playground and it was really fun to hear Roger's stories from his childhood.  We walked around a little and he pointed out places he used to go and told us memories he had from those places.  I love going for walks "down memory lane".

Playing at the School Playground - March 20, 2008

Thursday - March 20th
We had a lot of fun playing at the school playground today.  I love living close to a playground.  It's nice since we can't afford a lot of outside toys of our own.  Roger took the basketball over with us so we could play a Seven-on-the-Line then he could shoot some hoops on his own.
