Snowball Fight - January 18, 2016
Monday - January 18th
Parker and Brinley went to play outside in the snow. Our neighbor's Ashley and Autumn came out to join them. Autumn really wants Alissa to come out and play with her, but Alissa is never in the mood. I feel bad for Autumn. I hope Alissa starts wanting to come out and play with us again soon. I miss her.
The kids took out their snowball makers and decided that they were going to have a snowball fight. They set up a shield to hide behind and started making a bunch of snowballs. They had a pretty big stack of them, when Roger went out to play. Their snowball fight turned into them against Roger. I didn't join in, because I wanted to take pictures and we didn't have enough gloves for me. Roger couldn't find his good gloves so he had to use mine.

Hockey Game and Up-Chuck-a-rama - January 16, 2016
Saturday - January 16th
My friend, Mickie, told us about a hockey team in Ogden. They are the Ogden Mustangs. Her family loves to go to their Hockey games. Roger wanted to check it out, so we decided to have a family date night. We took the kids to Chuck-a-rama then the hockey game. It was a fun night. The last time we took the kids to a buffet restaurant, they were all really little and they don't remember it. Brinley was hilarious when we told her about this kind of a restaurant. She had no idea a place like this existed. She was so excited! This is the perfect restaurant for her. She's picky and she has a hard time making up her mind. She was in heaven, eating at a place where she could dish up however much she wanted of each thing and it was okay for her to waste her food if she didn't like it or she didn't want to finish it. It was so funny to see how happy she was. Of course, all of the kids loved it, I just think Brinley's personality made her reaction to it really funny. We all had a really fun night. I'm so happy we got to take the kids out tonight.

Monster Hats - January 14, 2016
Thursday - January 14th
My cousin ordered some monster hats from me. She told me the sizes she wanted, then told me the hat she likes, except she wants four different hats. So, she wondered if I could come up with some other monster hats for her. I was excited to try different monster hats. It's fun to get creative and see what I can come up with.
I think this one is my favorite.
This one is my second favorite.
I wish I had done the hair and horns different on this one, but I love the hanging twisty part.

Outdoor Ice Skating Rink - January 9, 2016
Saturday - January 9th
We heard that there was an outdoor ice skating rink in Logan, so Roger wanted to check it out. We looked it up online and found out where it was. This ice skating rink is nice, because you don't have to pay to get in like at the indoor rink. You only have to pay if you have to rent skates. So, it's free for Roger to skate.
The girls decided they didn't want to come with us, So just Parker, Roger, and I went. Parker and I wanted to skate, but the line to rent skates was ridiculously long. We would have been there all night just waiting for skates. So, Parker and I decided to wander around and see what other stuff there was to do, while Roger skated. Brinley doesn't like to ice skate, so we wanted to see what kind of stuff there was to entertain her when we all come back.
There is a nice playground that we stopped and played on for a little bit, but the thing that seemed to be the most fun, was the hill we found nearby for sledding. Brinley would love to come here and sled while everybody else skates. I'd sled with Brinley. So, we think this place is a lot of fun. We are glad we found it. This is a good way that we can all come when Roger wants to go ice skating.
Roger had fun ice skating. He ran into an old mission companion or it was just somebody he knew from the mission. I can't remember for sure. but they had a nice time visiting while they were skating. When Roger finished skating, we went to a small restaurant on main street. Parker and I shared some ice cream and Roger got himself some food. Parker and I had already eaten dinner before we left, but roger hadn't. The ice cream was yummy. Parker and I liked it. But Roger said his dinner was not very good. He won't get dinner there again. I like it for the ice cream. At the front of the restaurant, you can sit up to a bar and get ice cream. It has an old timey feel and the ice cream is good. We'll do that again. We just won't be seated and have an actual meal there.

My Dad's Close Call - January 7, 2016
Thursday - January 7th
Yesterday was my mom's birthday. She would have turned 66. I miss her so much! I wish so badly that she was still here.
Linda called and said she doesn't want to alert me, she just needs to let me know what happened. First of all, Dad is okay. Then she told me, that he almost died last night. He was sad and missing my mom, but he said he had a good day. He went to the temple that morning and was feeling okay. Kelly called him and she was having a hard time. He was worried about her and feeling bad that mom isn't here, then he watched a super intense and suspenseful movie. When the movie was over, he realized, he didn't feel right. He felt light headed, so he laid down on the floor. Then he remembered that his apple watch can tell his heart rate. He checked his heart rate. it was at like 200, then it went down to 60, then it jumped back up to another really high number. He knew that was bad, so he called his neighbor's to bring a blood pressure cuff. They came over and decided to take him to the hospital. The doctors had to stop and restart his heart. They said he was seconds away from death. His heart was going crazy and it can't keep that up for long. He is lucky that he came in when he did.
