We had a really merry Christmas this year. I love Christmas! The kids needed some more Sunday clothes. We were at the mall when we were in Salt Lake and we found some really nice and affordable dresses and a suit for Parker. I couldn't pass up that good of a deal, so I let the kids pick out what they wanted and we took them home. I told the kids they were a Christmas gift from Roger and I and they could have them on Christmas Eve. They were so excited to have their nice clothes. They wanted to try them on and wear them around the house for a little bit, so I let them.
I had wrapped them and they were under the tree. I let the kids open them in the morning. They couldn't wait. They were too excited. They look super cute in their nice Sunday clothes.
At school, Alissa got a bag of reindeer food to feed Santa's reindeer when they come. It came with a message telling the kids to sprinkle it on the lawn on Christmas Eve. They were excited to go out and sprinkle on the lawn.
After they put out the reindeer food, they came inside so we could open up our Christmas pajamas and then they each got to open a gift from each other.
After that, Roger told us the story of Jesus' birth and it was off to bed.
I had most of the gifts wrapped all ready, so putting the gifts under the tree took very little time this year. Kids were asleep, gifts were wrapped and under the tree all by 10:15pm this year. It was nice! That meant Roger and I got to relax together for a little while.
The kiddos were up and ready to open presents bright and early, as always. We made them be patient and give us some time to get moving, so the gift opening didn't start until 7:00am. They had a lot of fun. They loved all of their gifts and couldn't wait to start playing with all of their new toys.
The family favorite is our new Rockband game. We have been having so much fun playing this game today. We like Lego Rockband the most, because it is more kid friendly and will let you keep going even when you mess up a lot.
