Independence Day

Friday - July 4, 2014
We had a fun day!  Roger and I woke up and went to meet Carolyn and Scott in Brigham City for a day date.  We went to the new pickle ball courts and Carolyn taught us how to play pickle ball.  She has been playing it for a while.  She is really good.  It was a lot of fun to learn.  The only problem was that it was sooooo hot, we couldn't keep playing.  We played for about 2 1/2 hours, before the heat and exhaustion was just too much to handle.  It was just such a fun game to play.  I loved it!  Also, it was nice realizing how easy it is for us to go out on dates now.  Alissa is finally old enough to babysit!  I love it!
After our game, Roger and I went to get some food before heading home.  We had water with us while we had been playing, but we ended up running out.  Roger really needed more water.  He couldn't stop sweating and he was starting to feel a little sick.  It was a little scary, but he drank water and relaxed for a while and it started to go away.
We went home, took a nap, prepared some food, then headed over to the Wilding's house to celebrate Independence Day.  I realized while we were there, that we have spent this holiday with them more than we have anybody else.  We even spent our first 4th of July together with them.  Good Times!
We really like to watch the fire works from their back deck.  It overlooks Ogden and the surrounding cities.  We basically get to watch everybody's firework shows from their house.  It is so nice.
So, we had a barbecue, lit some fireworks in their front yard, then went out on the back deck to watch everybody else's fireworks.
