Brinley's 5th Birthday - October 15, 2010

Friday - October 15th
Happy Birthday Brinley!  My cute littlest child is 5 years old today.  I can't believe how fast time goes.  It does not feel like it has been 5 years since she was born.
I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning decorating the house for Brinley's birthday.  I wait until the kids are asleep, then I decorate the house with streamers and lots and lots of balloons.  The kids are always so excited when they wake up and there are balloons everywhere.  I did something different this time.  I decorated the upstairs and the downstairs living rooms.  I usually only decorate the living room on the main floor.  The kids were so excited when they went downstairs and it was also decorated.  It was really fun to watch them.
I feel really bad that Roger couldn't be awake to see the kids when they saw all the decorations.  I really hope he gets on a day shift soon.  We got Brinley a bike for her birthday.  She was so excited when she saw it, but she was afraid to get on it at first.  Alissa and Parker finally convinced her to try it and she loves it.  Grandma Moser came for Brinley's Birthday party.  It was fun to have her here.  Mikenna and her mom (Heather) came also.
Let's see.... Our day went like this.... We woke up, saw all the cool decorations, went to the store to buy some treats and breakfast, came home, then Raelynn came over to be babysat.  The kids helped me take care of her so I could decorate Brin's cake.  Roger woke up at 2:00pm.  We gave Brinley her bike.  Roger's mom arrived.  We let Brinley open her presents.  Mikenna and Heather came.  We had cake and ice cream.  Heather and Mikenna left.  Roger's mom left.  The kids played with all the toys and rode their bikes.  I took pictures and videos of all the fun.  I rested for a little while with Roger while the kids played.  Brin wanted cake for dinner so that's what we had.  Brin wanted to sleep in the living room, so I carried their mattresses down.  The kids laid in their beds and watched TV until they fell asleep.  I stayed up to clean and put away all the birthday fun.

Babysitting - October 12, 2010

Tuesday - October 12th
I love having my daycare set up downstairs.  I think it looks really cute and it is very convenient with a door to the backyard down there.  It makes it a lot easier for us to go and play outside, which is really good, because Conner can't get enough of outside time.
Today we babysat Damien and Conner, Raelynn, Sage, and Conner Brown.

Today is 10/10/10

Sunday - October 10th
So, today is 10/10/10.  Fun, huh!?  I woke up around 8:00 am this morning.  That was nice.  I love to be able to sleep in.  I made us some bacon, eggs, toast, and hash browns for breakfast.  It was really yummy.  Then we went to church.  They sang "Happy Birthday" to Brinley.  She was really excited about that.  They posted in the ward calendar that Brinley's birthday is today, so, El Dula came over to bring Brinley a card,  There was $5.00 in the card.  Brinley was so excited about that.
I'm trying to figure out what we should do for Brin's birthday on Friday.  She is turning 5 years old.  That is the age that I start letting the kids have a party with friends.  I'm just feeling very uninspired.  I don't know what we should do.  I might just have them come and play
and eat cake and ice cream.
Tomorrow at school, Parker gets to be the shining star, so I stayed up to make a poster all about Parker.  I also printed up some more refrigerator magnets, because I just love those.  I want to have the whole refrigerator covered with magnets.
I'm really scared about what is going on with my body.  I'm so afraid that there is something seriously wrong.  I having been having a ton of weird (pregnancy like) symptoms for the last few weeks.  I took a pregnancy test and I went to the doctor.  I'm not pregnant, but I know something is wrong, so I made an appointment with a gynecologist, but my appointment is still a ways off.  Tonight I started having really bad pains that made it hard to walk.  I plan to call the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get in to see him sooner.  I'm really worried about this.
Roger is still feeling weak and tired from his sickness, but he had to go back to work tonight.  I worry about him.  I really hope that he has a good night at work.  He is working in the loading area now.  A lot more explosions happen in that area.  It makes me very nervous, especially when he is not feeling well.

Strep Throat - October 7, 2010

Thursday - October 7th
Yesterday we took Roger and Alissa to the doctor.  It turns out that they both have strep throat.  Alissa's throat and neck hurt really bad, but she doesn't have any other symptoms.  She had a fever on Saturday and Sunday, then after that, she started feeling better, except for her sore throat.  Roger came home from work on Wednesday at 3:00 in the morning.  I was asleep and he came in the room and just lost it.  He was like, "Oh Jenny!  I'm so sick!"  He was miserable.  He just fell in to bed.  I feel so bad for him.  He has had a really bad fever ever since then.  It is no fun when Roger is sick.  I feel like I'm much better at taking care of sick children than I am at taking care of my sick Roger.  I just have a hard time knowing what to do for him.  Hopefully he will get feeling better soon.  Being sick is the worst and Roger always seems to get an extreme version of every sickness, so then I feel even worse for him.

General Conference - October 2, 2010

Saturday - October 2nd
Today was General Conference.  Last year on the Saturday General Conference, I got a horrible phone call.  Linda called to tell me that my mom started throwing up the night before and it just wouldn't stop.  Dad to her to the emergency room and they are doing emergency exploratory surgery.  I was brave while I was on the phone with Linda but as soon as I hung up the phone, I could not control the tears.  I was so scared for my mom and so sad that I couldn't be there for her.  I had a hard time paying attention to any conference after that.
Before the first session had started, I had been thinking about my mom and wondering what she was doing.  I figured she was probably sitting in a comfy chair, eating ice and putting together a puzzle on her laptop.  I was wishing that she was at my house so we could do a puzzle and enjoy conference together.  Linda called shortly after the first session started.  I calmed myself down from crying and decided to take the kids and go watch conference with the Beverlys.  I thought that would help me to stop thinking about it.  I was doing alright until one of the talks reminded me about what was going on and I just started bawling.  The Beverlys were all staring at me, wondering what was going on.  I could hardly stop crying enough to explain to them why I was crying.  It did help to sit and talk with them about it.
Today, I didn't sit and listen to conference.  I worked really hard to clean out the downstairs room that used to be Roger's office.  Roger had decided to let me have it as a craft room, but instead of being a craft room, it ended up being a crap room.  I had just been putting things in there when I had no other place to put them.  So, cleaning it out was a big job.  It took me all day!  I listened to conference while I cleaned.  I would have loved to sit and watch conference in a nice clean home, but it just didn't happen that way.  I'm working on moving all the toys downstairs, so that my daycare can be downstairs and Roger's computer and the big TV can be in the living
room upstairs.  It's a lot of work.
At the first of this week, Parker got sick.  He had a fever for 2 days, then a yucky, almost congested sounding throat.  Today, I noticed that he now has a runny nose, but he is still feeling much better than he did at the first of the week.  After Parker's fever went away, Brinley came down with a fever.  Her fever also lasted for two days.  Now that Brinley's fever is gone, Alissa has a fever.  I feel so bad for the kids when they are sick.  It is no fun.
Roger has to work overtime this weekend.  I feel bad for him when they don't let him have a weekend.  I don't like it when he has to go to work everyday of the week.
I almost forgot, Roger made a really yummy dinner tonight.  I really didn't think I was going to like it because it has soy sauce in it and it is like a Chinese type of food and I usually don't like Chinese food.  But I really liked this dinner.  I also, liked that Roger cooked.  Anyways, the dinner he made is called Kielbasa Fried Rice.  We loved it!

My Dream

After I got the kids off to school this morning, I was sitting on the couch watching a show with Brinley. I don't remember what she said to me, but all of the sudden my dream from last night came flooding back to me. Dreams are so weird. I don't usually remember mine, so it is fun for me when I do. In my dream I was hanging out with some Friends. I don't recognize any of them, but in my dream I know them all really well. Except for one of the girls. She is new to the group of friends. She is kind of manly and for some reason she doesn't seem to like me. So in the middle of a conversation, she picked up her glass of water and threw it at me! Things were awkward for a little bit, but them we all started talking again like nothing happened. When I tried to get her back by throwing water on her, I somehow missed and we all had a good laugh about it. The mean, manly girl finally left and my friends and I enjoyed a little more time together hanging out. When it was time to go, Roger and the kids were there walking out to the car with me. Roger pointed and said "look! there's our van." I looked over expecting to see our old van, but what I saw was a brand new van that was being built just for us. I was very happy that Roger wanted a van again. I don't really love our Explorer. Then I realized that I had left my shoes back in the restaurant, so I went back to get them. When I went back to get my shoes, there was a worker at the door and she would not let me back in unless I paid the $20.00 entrance fee. I told her that the most I would pay is $4.00. she refused to let me in. She said the shoes were hers unless I paid her, so I had to leave my shoes there.
Dreams are just funny to me. Sometimes I think it is fun to look at books and read what they say your dreams mean. I don't really believe that stuff, it is just fun to see. I'm not sure what I believe about dreams. I know of people who have communicated with relatives, who have passed on, in dreams and I believe that they really were talking with that relative. I just don't know if I believe that any of our normal, crazy type of dreams have any meaning. I think I wrote about this before, but my cousin watched a scary movie late on night. She was living with my Grandma at the time. When the show was over, she walked out of her room to find that the door to the room across from hers was partially closed and the lamp in the room was turned on. Nobody else was home except for Grandma, who was asleep upstairs and had a hard time going downstairs. She was too afraid to look in the room and turn the lamp off. She just went to bed. In the morning, the bedroom door across from her room was open but she had to go in and turn the lamp off. She went upstairs and ate breakfast with Grandma. Grandma told her that she had a really weird dream last night. Grandma told her about the dream. My cousin was really freaked out. Grandma's dream was about something that had happened in the scary movie that my cousin had watched.
Anyways... It just makes ya think.
I'm sorry that I don't post that often anymore, I'm just emotional and, one week each month, moodier than I have ever been before. I feel like a crazy person.

A Traumatic Experience

On the paper shredder, there is a picture of hand with a line across it, warning you to keep hands out of the shredder. I always looked at that and thought........There is no way a hand could fit in there. Well today, Brinley proved that it can. Parker and Brinley were helping me shred papers this afternoon. Brinley and Parker were taking turns putting their papers in. I think what happened was that Brinley was holding her paper too close to the shredder part, while she was waiting for it to finish shredding Parker's paper, and the machine started to take Brinley's paper before Brinley was ready. So she was trying to pull the paper out when her hand went in. I was sitting right by her when it happened, but I was looking at a paper that I had in my hand, so I didn't see how her hand ended up in the machine. She just started screaming. I saw that her hand was being sucked in to the machine. I grabbed a hold of her and her arm and tried to pull it out. I couldn't get it out! And I couldn't get the stupid machine to turn off! Roger was down stairs in his office with the door closed when all of this happened. So, I was screaming for Roger at the top of my lungs while I was trying desperately to save her hand from being sucked all the way in to the machine. Parker and Alissa are standing there screaming their heads off because they are scared and don't know what to do. Roger said that he heard some screaming from upstairs but figured it was just the kids playing. He turned the volume down on his computer just to make sure it was nothing bad. He said he could hear the terror in our screams and he came running upstairs as fast as he could. Right as Roger got to us, the machine turned off and I was able to get Brinley's hand out. I was so sure that it was going to be a bloody mess, because her hand was in there pretty far. Luckily there was no blood. Her fingers are just bruised and there is a little cut on one of them. When we had her hand out and realized that she was okay, it was such a relief. We sat down on the couch with Brinley to look more closely at her fingers and give her loves, that was the point where Me, Alissa, and Parker just started crying. It was a terrifying experience. I could not get her hand out and that stupid machine was sucking it in farther and farther! As we were crying and trying to calm down, Parker said, "Mom, my heart is going boom, boom, boom really fast?" We all stopped crying for a little bit to say a prayer and thank Heavenly Father for Brinley's hand not getting all cut up, then we had some hot chocolate and watched a Christmas movie to help get the scariness out of our minds. After the movie we went out to dinner and walked around Walmart. It was bedtime by the time we got back home. When we said our bedtime prayer, Alissa said, "......thank you for letting Brinley be okay....and if there were any of our relatives, who have already died, that were there and helped us, tell them thank you also." I thought that was really cute.

God, Open Your Door to My Family

This is a poem that Shelley wrote while our mom was sick. I think Shelley has an amazing talent for poetry.
God, Open Your Door to My Family
God of the heavens and stars
in my heart a simple prayer,
I humbly call out to you
to help me from way up there.
It is a personal challenge
that needs your open door,
I pray to you with all my heart
for the courage to endure.
I share the pains of my Mother
who is probably going to die,
she has always been close to me
and I don't want to say goodbye.
Her loving ways are in my heart
and her pains I hate to see,
God, please help us to be strong
when she leaves our family.
Please open your door of heaven
and help us to heal from pain,
when she has to leave us behind
help us to face the fallen rain.

Halloween Fun

Trick-or-Treating was a lot of fun. The kids got a ton of candy! We went to the trunk-or-treat at our church. The kids came home with their pumpkin containers filled almost to the top. Then I told the kids to dump all of their candy out, so we could go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. We went trick-or treating at 6:00pm and came home just a little before 8:00pm. They were able to get their baskets filled almost to the top again. They had so much fun. It was funny, because when we first went out, the kids were racing from house to house and I had a hard time keeping up with them. After a while they started walking from house to house and by the end, I was practically pushing them, telling them "We're almost home." Even though they were so tired at the end, they still asked to go to more houses. But at the rate they were walking, it would have taken us an hour to go down one more street, plus Parker and Brinley weren't even carrying their baskets anymore. They said the baskets were too heavy and had me carry them for them.

A Post Without Pictures

Parker is wearing his spider man pajamas. He just noticed that there are flaps of material under the arm of his shirt. It makes it look like he has wings. So while I was sitting here deciding what I should write or if I even wanted to write, he climbed up on our tall kitchen stools and decided to fly. We have tile floor in the kitchen and his landing did not go well. I hurried and picked him up off of the floor and asked him if he fell. He said "No. I have wings! I wanted to fly!" Anyways, it was very funny and cute. Probably a lot funnier if you were here to experience it.
I don't blog very often and when I do I don't write very much. It's more about the pictures. I'm not a great writer so I post pictures. I decided that I will try writing more. I don't know if I'll really stick with it. I'm very indecisive. But right now, the plan is to write more.
Life has been crazy since I wrote last. You just never know what is going to happen. I've kept to myself a lot lately. When life gets tough, that is when I want and need friends the most, but for some reason, that is when I keep to myself the most. Life has been tough lately. In August, my cousin lost his oldest son (age 8) in a car accident. I rarely see my cousin and I've only seen his little boy a few times, but hearing that really broke my heart. I just feel so bad that my cousin and his family have to go through the pain of losing a child. It just upset me so bad. His children are about the same age as mine and I just don't know that I could handle a trial like that. So I cried for like a week when I heard about that. I couldn't talk to anybody about it without bursting in to tears. I'm just too sensitive and I can't stand to know other people are suffering. It hurts my heart so bad. I'm so glad that they have the gospel in their lives. I don't know how people get through something like that with out the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father and with out the knowledge that they will see each other again.
It wasn't long after all of that that I found out my sister-in-law has ovarian cancer. I don't know much about it though. I keep asking Roger to call and find out more, but he hasn't yet. I know I could call, but I have a really hard time getting myself to call my in-laws. I guess I just think because they are Roger's family, he should be the one to call them. He's more comfortable with all of them and the conversation flows much smoother when he is talking to them rather than me talking to them.
After finding out about my sister-in-law, I start to feel a little worried. So I schedule an appointment with a gynecologist. At the appointment, she just tells me that I'm fine. Everything I'm experiencing is normal and it comes with age. But then she added that my weight may be contributing to some of the crazy things my body does. So then I am really determined that I am going to lose weight. I decided to try the HCG diet. When I first heard of it I thought it was crazy. When I learned more about it, I thought it sounded like a good idea. So I did the HCG diet. It was really hard to stick with, but I did it and I lost 30lbs. When you finish the really strict part of the diet, you are supposed to eat no sugar or carbs for 3 weeks. You can add everything back into your diet after that. Everyday you step on the scale. Your goal is to maintain your ending weight for 6 weeks. After that you can do the diet again if you need. They claim that after the six weeks, you won't have to think as much about your weight. You body should know by then that that is your new weight and so maintaining becomes much easier.
So the first day of my six week maintenance (Saturday, October 3rd), I get a call from my sister letting me know that my mom is in the hospital. I was so worried about my mom. As soon as I got off of the phone with my sister, I just started crying. Alissa, Parker and Brinley were pretty uncomfortable about my crying. They came in the kitchen and stared at me. Alissa asked why I was crying. I told her that Grandma Bone was sick and I was just really worried about her. I just really wanted her to be OK. I couldn't get my emotions under control. I just sat in the kitchen crying for a while. The kids stood there for a little bit, unsure what to do, then one of them suggested that I should go wake up their daddy. He works the graveyard shift so he had just gone to sleep recently. I just thought it was funny that my crying made them so uncomfortable.
So here's what happened. On Friday my mom was really sick and throwing up. I guess ton Saturday morning she was still really sick and weak from throwing up. Then she started having a hard time breathing. Dad rushed her to the emergency room. I'm not sure of all the details, I'm just telling you what I understood of what was happening. There was some kind of a blockage, I don't know what the doctors had realized before they decided to operate, but I was told that it was an exploratory surgery to find what the problem was and fix it. She was in surgery for about 3 hours I think. They found a tumor (I'm not sure if it was in her stomach or by her stomach). They removed the tumor and extra areas around it just in case it was cancerous, but they didn't think it was. My mom had had her stomach stapled like 26 years ago. So part of her stomach was not being used. I think that is where the tumor was. So they removed that part of her stomach. I'm not sure if they did anything else. A few days later they came back with the result that the tumor they removed was cancerous. They said it was a rare and very aggressive form of stomach cancer. That was the most devastating news ever! I don't think I have ever cried so hard as I did after hearing that. For 2 hours after hearing that news, my hands were numb and my arms tingled. It was really weird, but I was too upset to care. We haven't been able to learn anything else about the cancer. They can't see how far the cancer has spread, until she recovers from her surgery. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks after the surgery. The day she got out of the hospital, we went to St. George. Roger stayed for the weekend then came home, because he had to go to work and school. Me and the kids stayed for the week. Mom got out of the hospital on Friday the 16th. They weren't going to let her leave the hospital because her white blood cell count was still up, but she just wanted to go home so bad, that the doctor gave in and let her leave. She had to go back and see the doctor on Monday so he could make sure she was doing OK. On Monday, her white blood cell count had gone up. So they did a scan and decided that they needed to operate again. I don't understand it all, but there was a lot of fluid in areas that there shouldn't be fluid. They decided to the operation the next day. Mom couldn't eat after midnight and we were supposed to be at the hospital at 1:30pm on Tuesday, October the 20th. I really like being in st. George for that week, because I didn't feel as helpless as I had at home. But it was hard being there and seeing my mom looking so scared. I had a hard time, not bursting into tears. I'm proud of myself for keeping it together. We were at the hospital at 1:30pm and they didn't end up taking her in to surgery until 6:30pm. So she had 5 hours to sit and worry and feel scared and hungry. I felt so bad for her. Before she went in to surgery, I pointed out that 31 years ago on that same day, she had also been in the hospital. It was for something much happier though. It was too have a baby (Me). I was born on October 21st at 1:12am. The surgery lasted for 4 hours. As they were sewing her up, they noticed something leaking from her stomach. There was a hole that they had not noticed before, so they had to fix that before they could stitch her back up. We think that the hole in her stomach was what was causing her all the trouble after the last surgery. That is why she wasn't recovering very well from the last surgery. I'm glad they caught that. She was in the ICU for 2 after the surgery. I feel so bad for her, because she had such a hard time breathing after the first surgery and that was a problem again after this surgery. It is so scary and so hard to see her so sick. I left St. George on Saturday. She was doing a lot better. She was breathing easier. Her body is so weak. I don't know how long she will be in the hospital, but I think it will be a while. Will still don't know anything about the cancer, which is just killing me. My mom is very positive about the cancer though. She is very determined to fight it. She has already started using some essential oils that are supposed to help get rid of cancer. She said she is very open minded about trying any method to get rid of it. She is going to do whatever it takes.
Oh yeah.... so about my diet. After all this stuff with my mom, I have gained 10lbs back. I just had bigger things rather than my weight to worry about. Plus I was feeling bitter because it was the stomach stapling that caused my mom all this trouble and I realized that these crazy get skinny quick diets are ridiculous and dangerous and definitely not worth it! I would rather be fat and alive than skinny and dead. I want to be healthy, so I am still going to work at the weight loss, but I'm going to do it the hard way. The way that takes time and won't kill you! I'm going to eat healthy and exercise. I feel really good about my decision. I'm so sad that it took something like this to help me to come to this realization. I just know that I love all the people around me and I don't care what size they are, so why do I worry so much that other people care what size I am.
Yesterday we went to the Fall Carnival at Alissa and Parker's school. It was horrible. They decided to do it inside and block off half of the school. It was so crowded you could hardly walk. They usually have it outside with bounce houses and fun stuff that you buy tickets to play on so the kids were excited about going. We spent most of the time waiting in line. A lot of the time we weren't sure what we were in line for (I'm short and can't see over people very well). The kids spent one ticket to get their faces painted, then two tickets to eat a donut off of a string. I couldn't stand to be in the school any longer, plus I couldn't see anything else that might be fun for the kids. So I threw the rest of the tickets away and we went home. It was the worst fall carnival I have ever been to. I hope that they realized what a bad idea that was, so they won't try and do something like that again next year.

Summer Fun

We play outside in our little swimming pools all the time lately. I usually sit in a chair in the shade reading a book, while the kids play in the pools. It is a lot of fun for the kids and so nice for me, because I get to relax. Now that the kids are getting older I don't have to be right next to the pool holding on to one of them so they won't drown. It is so nice!
Anyway, I have been taking lots of pictures and videos of all our fun and I thought it was about time that I share some of them. These pictures are from July 25th. That was the weekend of Tremonton City Days. So in the morning we went to the park where they had a lot of bounce houses up and fun stuff like that for the kids. It was really hot, so when we got back we set up the swimming pools and cooled down. (I realized that we did that the last two years after we went to Tremonton City Days. It is becoming a tradition for us.) Roger was with us playing outside. I don't get to relax and read a book when Roger comes out, because he always wants to play. We have lots of fun together.
Our neighbors were going out of town. They had a half of a watermelon left over from the 24th celebrations. They didn't want it to go bad while they were gone, so they brought it over to us. It was so yummy! I took pictures of Roger, Parker and Alissa taking big bites.

Brinley didn't want to come eat watermelon yet. she was having too much fun in the pool.
After eating the watermelon, Roger decided it was time for him to get in the pool. He convinced me to join him, but since I am the camera man, there are no pictures of me. I did set the video camera up before I got in so we have video of our pool fun. It's a long video, so I'm not gonna share it with you.

Roger stayed out and played in the water for a long time, but he had the hose with him for most of the time. So if you got too close, you got sprayed. The kids kept trying to sneak over and grab the hose every time he put it down, so they could spray him. But he always got the hose back and sprayed them worse than they got him. The kids loved it! They had a lot of fun. I only approached Roger if I had the camera in my hands, so he would not be able to spray me. But the camera did not stop him, he still sprayed me. He just sprayed my legs.

After Roger went in, Alissa made up an obstacle course. They ran through the sprinkler.

Through the other swimming pool. (I have a picture of it, but I couldn't get it in the right place on my post. I don't know why it won't let me move the pictures around right now, but it won't. So I just deleted it.) Then they slide down the slide and into the pool.

After they finished playing obstacle course, Alissa asked me to take some pictures of her swimming. Ever since we went to visit Aunt Kelly and played in her big swimming pool, Alissa has been practicing going under the water so she won't be afraid. She almost drowned when she was at the pool at Kelly's. After that experience, Kelly started teaching her about being comfortable in the water and how to hold her breath when she goes under and a little about swimming. Alissa loved having Aunt Kelly teach her all that stuff. When ever she does a good job, she says that she thinks Aunt Kelly would be so proud of her.
We decided it was time to put the pools away. After we finished putting everything away, Alissa grabbed her bike and asked if we would take the training wheels off. She said she didn't want to use them anymore, because none of her friends used training wheels anymore. So Roger took them off. I was inside, but roger said she just got on the bike and started riding. she did really well. Roger was yelling for me to come see. I hurried out and took some pictures. I was so surprised at how well she was doing. Roger had to teach her how to turn with out falling and help her with stopping. She has been out practicing everyday since then and she is doing really well. She loves riding her bike.
Parker was just being goofy playing on the slide, so I had to take some pictures of him.
Brinley wanted pictures of her riding her scooter. She is starting to go really fast on it now.
The sky looked really cool with the clouds and the color, so I took some pictures. I looked up at the sky while I was taking this picture and I didn't see a white ball of something flying through the air. So I was surprised when I looked down at my picture and saw this. So I hurried and took another one. There was nothing. I'm sure it was probably just an insect or something that I didn't see and the light from the flash reflected off of it. I just thought it was fun. I like to imagine that it is something mysterious and unknown.
This is the picture that I took right after I took the first one.

Happy Birthday Delia! We Love You!

This is a Birthday video that we made for me niece Delia. I tried to post it on facebook and my computer started giving me fits, so I will try to post it again later. In order to get the video to fit on my blog, I had to change the speed on the video. That is why everything is going fast.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

We made a video for the world's greatest Grandpa and Father. Happy Birthday!

This is a picture of my dad holding my sister Kristy. I just wanted to post a picture of him and this was the first one I found. I love my dad so much. He is an amazing guy. I am so blessed to be his daughter. He works so hard to take care of all of us. I'm just amazed at all the things he does and has done for us. I love you Dad.

Taking Good Care of Archie

Brinley was being way too cute this morning. She was in the living room giving Archie loves. Then she came in the kitchen and this is our conversation:
Brinley - Mommy. Archie go to Aunt Kelly's?
Jenny - Yup. Archie will go back to Aunt Kelly's in August.
Brinley - Archie miss Aunt Kelly........He sad.........I KNOW! I make Archie better!
Can I sing Archie a song Mom?
Jenny - I think Archie would love that! That is a really good idea!
Brinley paused and thought for a moment.
Brinley - Ummmm.........Can I sing........"Big Dogs Don't Cry"!?!
Jenny - Ooohh.....That sounds like a song Archie will really like!
Brinley - Okay, Mom.
Then she ran into the living room to sing her song to Archie and give him more loves. And I ran downstairs to get my camera. She is such a cute, funny girl. She is always making me laugh. After she finished her song, she said, "I made him better! Archie happy now!"

Parker's Birthday

I can't believe my little boy is 5 yrs old! Time goes by way too fast.
When I had my first ultra sound, they noticed that Parker had some fluid around his heart. Fluid around the heart usually means there is an abnormality. They couldn't find any reason for the fluid. They looked at his heart every other week until he was born. The fluid slowly went away. By the time he was due, the fluid was all gone. The doctor wanted me to have a C-section so we wouldn't put any stress on Parker's heart. They checked Parker's heart right after he was born. They couldn't see anything wrong so they let me hold him and nurse him. They took Parker to the nursery while they got me settled in my room. they had told me they would bring him to me as soon as I got all settled. But they didn't bring him to me. The doctor came in and told me that something was wrong so they admitted him to the NICU. About an hour after that, they came in and told me that they needed to life flight him to Primary Children's Hospital. I had been prepared for Parker to be in the NICU. I went through that with Alissa and I knew I could handle it. I was not prepared for Parker to be taken to another hospital. I did not handle that well. This is a picture of me holding Parker one more time before they flew him to Primary Children's. My face is all red and puffy from all of the crying I was doing.Roger went to Primary Children's Hospital to be with Parker. Parker had a narrowing in his Aorta. He had surgery the day after he was born. Parker survived the surgery and so did we. Here we are at Primary Children's Hospital.
My handsome little baby boy.
Our first family photo.
Here are a few pictures of my handsome little baby boy. I just can't believe how fast the time went.

Here are some pictures from Parker's birthday. The kids were so excited when they woke up. I had decorated the house and set out a lot of fun little knick-knacks on the table. They all had so much fun playing. It was really hard to get them to go to school. I had bought a treat for Parker to take to his class. Parker was a little confused when it was time to go to school. He thought that as soon as he turned five he would start going to Alissa's school. He was pretty disappointed when he found out that he still had to go to his school.
Parker's cake.
We went out to eat.
Parker opening his presents and Roger making a face.

Blowing out the candles.

I deleted my last post, because I am feeling much better about my job. I just have a hard time dealing with change.
